From Knowledge to Confident Clinical Practice

The Clinical Skills Enhancement Programme is a structured training programme designed to strengthen essential clinical knowledge, examination skills, diagnostic reasoning and patient management among medical students and junior healthcare professionals.

Led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohamad Salleh bin Abdul Aziz, the programme focuses on bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and confident clinical practice through interactive teaching, practical clinical scenarios, guided discussions and feedback.

🎯 Programme Objectives

Participants will gain confidence in:

• Understanding the Malaysian healthcare system and clinical practice standards
• Performing structured clinical history-taking
• Conducting systematic physical and clinical examinations
• Understanding key pathology and pathophysiology concepts
• Applying clinical reasoning to formulate appropriate diagnoses
• Prioritising differential diagnoses and recognising diagnostic safety issues
• Interpreting basic investigations and clinical data
• Developing appropriate management plans
• Improving clinical documentation and case presentation skills

Each session covers carefully structured topics ranging from history-taking, clinical examination and pathology to clinical reasoning, investigation, diagnosis and therapeutic management.
